An 18,200-square-foot, single-story addition was designed for Urbana School District 116's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School in Urbana, Illinois. The addition provided a new gymnasium, multi-purpose room with kitchen, and two classrooms. The design incorporated a new school entrance with an on-site bus drop-off lane, additional staff and visitor parking, and a secure outdoor learning courtyard. Updates to the existing 44,700-square-foot school building included the conversion of the original gymnasium into three fine arts classrooms, the remodeling of the administrative suite, and the addition of central air conditioning,
