The 24,500-square-foot, indoor Urbana Aquatic Center provides physical education opportunities for schoolchildren of all ages, a practice and competition venue for the high school swim teams and serves the recreational needs of the general population in Urbana, Illinois. Developed as a partnership between Urbana School District 116 and the Urbana Park District, the center includes a competition pool with 24-yard and 25-meter swimming lanes, a deep diving well, and a separate leisure pool with zero-depth entry for children and individuals with disabilities. The facility also includes locker rooms, a family changing room, staff offices and a mezzanine with retractable bleachers and a party room.
