This project consolidated the Village of Savoy's dispersed public works functions at the Municipal Center site in Savoy, Illinois. The new 12,400-square-foot, one-story building houses three departments: fleet maintenance, parks and grounds, and streets and sewers. The project also included heated vehicle storage, a washing bay, and staff support spaces. Drive-through bays and radiant floor heating with an epoxy finish were incorporated into the design to enhance the building's functionality. A pre-engineered, clear span, rigid-frame steel structure was selected to eliminate interior columns as well as for its cost-effectiveness and speed of construction.
