The Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District's existing garage and maintenance facility in Urbana, Illinois was expanded by more than 88,000 square feet to provide additional vehicle storage as well as office and training space. The district can now store its entire fleet of buses and light-duty vehicles indoors, including its newer hybrid buses. The project also provided an indoor vehicle wash bay and a mezzanine to provide space for computer-based employee training classrooms, bus driving simulators, and offices for both C-U MTD and Champaign County Area Rural Transit System employees.
